Tesla Model X: The 2024 Model X offers the performance and cachet that comes with the Tesla brand name, but its gimmicks aren’t as flashy these days. The luxury electric crossover segment has expanded and now includes better options. Two X models are offered, starting with the dual-motor base SUV, which makes 670 horsepower and offers a 348-mile EPA-rated driving range.
The performance-oriented Plaid model costs more, but makes an astonishing 1020 horsepower and can still go up to 333 miles between charges. We’re impressed by its brutal acceleration and great driving range. The plaid Tesla Model X model with its three electric motors will surely provide insane acceleration but the speed of the X plaid is very expensive. And its 333-mile estimated driving range isn’t as good as the less expensive base model, so we’ll save the money. Tesla Model X Features

However, due to the larger body, the performance figures are lower than those of the Model Tesla Model X. The 75D can run up to 417 km on a full charge, reach a top speed of 209 kmph and accelerate to 100 kmph from a standstill in 4.9s. sec. The same figures for the 100d are 565 km, 250 kmph (limited) and 4.7 seconds respectively. The performance motor in the P100D reduces the range to 541 km, but can achieve the same top speed of 250 kmph, which is electronically limited, and accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds.

In all three variants, features such as full self-driving capability, advanced Autopilot and 20-inch Pirelli winter tires are offered as optional extras. However, 8 years infinite kilometer warranty for battery and drive unit and 4 year/80,467 km warranty for the complete package is available across all the three variants. Standard kit on the 75D and 100D remains the same and both get the option of a ‘Premium Upgrade Package’. The P100D gets additional features like heated seats, option for premium interiors, HEPA air filter and a heated steering wheel. If we have to choose, it’s the 100D we agree on. The P100D is far more expensive and its great performance isn’t quite suitable for a day-to-day drive.
Range, Charging, and Battery Life
The Tesla Model X comes standard with a large battery that is large enough to cover a claimed 348-mile driving range; Upgrading to the faster Plaid model drops the estimated driving range to 333 miles. Recharging is quick via one of Tesla’s Superchargers, which are located around the country. Charging at home via a 240V or 120V connection would be slower, but probably more convenient for owners, so Tesla offers in-home charging equipment for purchase.

No points for guessing, the resemblance of things inside the cabin with the Tesla Model X is uncanny. The 17-inch touchscreen display that controls almost all aspects of the car is exactly the same, and dominates the dashboard.
