Tata Altroz XZ Plus OS CNG Feature
The Tata Altroz has two motor options: a 1.2-litre, 3-chamber Revotron petroleum motor that produces 85bhp and 113Nm, and a 1.5-litre, 4-chamber Revotorq diesel motor that produces 89bhp and 200Nm. Both the motors are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A petroleum motor with reasonable power on draft is most ideal for city conditions, and light grip is an aid. On the other hand, the transmission of power from a diesel motor is fairly straightforward overall and the power is effectively open source. It gets up to cruising speed almost flawlessly, although the motor feels a bit strange. Both the motors are BSVI compliant. The ride quality is somewhat firm, though it absorbs shocks easily. At higher speeds, the Altroz remains stable and the weight of the controls is pleasant with a very good feel.
