The Macan starts up with a bark and then settles into a smooth purr. When driven normally, the engine is refined to its maximum potential. The throttle response is excellent, and despite being a two-litre engine, there is no noticeable delay. Activating Sport mode enhances the experience by increasing the noise and speed. In fact, the throttle response becomes sharper and the gearshifts more aggressive. With the throttle fully engaged, we were able to achieve a 0-100kmph time of 6.69 seconds, which is impressive. However, it is during everyday driving conditions that the Macan truly shines. Its compact dimensions make it easy to navigate through traffic, and with its substantial 400Nm of torque available, the Macan effortlessly maneuvers into tight spaces.

In our test track, the Macan S was only a few seconds slower than the more powerful GTS, achieving a zero-to-60-mph time of 3.8 seconds.

To partially address this issue, you have the option to have the entire interior covered in leather, but Porsche requires an additional $2230 just to cover the dashboard and doors with cowhide, which aligns with their reputation for high prices. Interior, Comfort & Cargo
