The C3 Aircross gets the only 6-speed force converter programmed transmission for the Indonesian market. The eco-friendliness of this specific powertrain is rated at 17.5 kmpl, which is lower than the manual’s 18.5 kmpl. The C3 Aircross gets a conventional stuff switch to a 6-speed programmed gearbox with manual mode, but misses out on the oar shifters. It is not yet clear whether the C3 Aircross in India will get the same conventional switch or a flip-like drive selector that is available in the eC3 and C5 Aircross.
Apart from the programmed gearbox, the Indonesia-spec C3 Aircross is almost indistinguishable from the India-spec SUV. While its 1.2-litre Super Petrol makes 110hp, it produces 205Nm of torque, which is 15Nm more than the India-spec C3 Aircross manual. With the manual gearbox, the C3 Aircross has a guaranteed eco-friendliness of 18.5kpl and with the programmed gearbox, it returns 17.5kpl (guaranteed). Citroën India hasn’t confirmed when the C3 Aircross will get the 6-speed automatic gearbox, however, its departure from India shouldn’t be too far off given how Indonesia gets the option of the power converter programmed gearbox. A similar gearbox, which is likely to be sourced from the Aisin, is also expected to be offered on the C3 hatchback sometime this year.

Citroen C3 Aircross automatic for India
Citroen India has no plans to launch the C3 Aircross with the revised gearbox.
