FORD FIGO Reviews On Road Price 2024 Mileage, Features, Engine, Performance, Design & Images

FORD FIGO Reviews- Ford launches new Figo in India. This is a midlife update for the B-part hatchback after living in niche status for almost four years. The latest update for the Figo includes revised trim levels as well as inconspicuous superficial changes. The hatchback is currently available in three variant options – Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blue, which is available with a petroleum or diesel motor option. Portage has said that it will stop production of Figo and its various models from its Chennai and Sanand plants. However, dealers will continue to sell the model until it is discontinued.

The Ford Figo has always been a sporty option. Additionally, Ford has improved performance this time around by introducing two all-new, more powerful gasoline engines and an all-new manual transmission to the lineup. The new 1.2-litre petrol is sourced from the Aim, while the 1.5-litre petrol engine is the same unit that powers the EcoSport. The latter has a 6-speed torque converter, while the smaller gasoline motor has Getrac’s new 5-speed manual. The 1.5-litre diesel engine has been retained, but a new 5-speed manual transmission is also included. Ford has introduced a new flagship Titanium Blue model to replace the previous S model. This model features blacked-out elements, large 15-inch alloy wheels and a stiffer suspension setup.

The Ford Figo hatchback in its BS6 guise is powered by a 1.2-litre petroleum motor that produces 96hp/119Nm, while the 1.5-litre diesel produces 100hp and 215Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox handles transmission duties as standard. It has six airbags, a 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system, fabric seat upholstery and other features. The petroleum motor is available with Ambiente, Pattern, Titanium, Titanium Blue, while the diesel engine is available with three variants – Pattern, Titanium and Titanium Blue. Prices for the BS6 Passage Figo petroleum unit start at Rs 5.39 lakh for the Ambiente variant and go up to Rs 6.95 lakh for the Titanium Blue variant.

After introducing several updated automobiles, Ford India finally introduced the 2019 Figo, which includes several updates. Prices for the facelifted Ford Figo start at Rs. 5.15 lakh. The organization says that the Figo facelift is completely planned and includes over 1200 new parts. Like all Passage models, the line-up has been rearranged and three variants – Ambiente, Titanium and Blue – will be offered in two fuel options. The first in the range Blue Edition gets a vibrant sill grille, new 15-inch combination wheels, double tone rooftop, blue themed interiors and a section-first six airbags.

Mileage

Truth be told, the diesel gives an efficiency of 25.5 kmpl. A five-speed manual transmission connects both these engines. Anyway, assuming you need a little more power and a programmed gearbox, Passage actually has another option for you. The Figo facelift will be offered with a 6-speed programmed transmission that is matched to the 1.5-litre petroleum motor conveying performance. With 121 bhp on offer, we ensure that no minute is boring in the driver’s seat. In terms of fuel economy, the Figo’s mileage is 16.3 kilometers per gallon.

Performance

The 1.2-litre three-cylinder TiVCT gasoline engine powering the new Figo facelift is not only light, but also very fuel-efficient. This is a normally suction motor and we have also seen it used in the Yr subcompact vehicle. The engine has enough power to produce 94 bhp and 120 Nm of peak torque. In fact the company says that the motor offers an efficiency of around 20.4 kmpl. On the diesel front, there has been no progress and the attempted 1.5 liter TDCi motor produces 99 bhp and 215 Nm of torque.

Engine

Talking about the main update in the Figo, it is the new arrangement of petroleum motors from the Portage’s most advanced ‘Winged Serpent’ family. It is available with three-cylinder gasoline engines of 1.2 and 1.5 liters respectively. The previous one is presented with a manual, while the last option is entirely accessible with a program. Ford has introduced a new 5-speed manual transmission for the 1.2-litre model and a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.5-litre model, replacing the previous 6-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic) for the petrol-powered Figo. There has been no change in the diesel engine of the pre-facelift model. However, it also has a new 5-speed manual.

Exterior

The Aspire facelift features new features added to the vehicle. Depending on the trim, the fog lamps will come with blue and chrome finish and integrate well into the front bumper. The sportiness of the Figo is enhanced by black-encased headlamps and blue-trimmed side and rear decals. The refreshing exterior refresh of the Figo was seen a year ago with a free-form and refreshed aim. The Figo has retained most of its natural styling elements and progress has been limited to mild changes. The guards have been updated with additional bits of newness, including extended chrome bezels for the haze lights and another cross section grille. Unlike modern automobiles, this hatchback still lacks LED or DRL lighting. Additionally, the decals add somewhat of an energetic component.

Interior

The interior of the Figo is entirely black, except for the top-of-the-line model, which gets the BLU treatment, including fabric upholstery with blue accents and contrast blue stitching. Rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, automatic air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, larger 15-inch alloy wheels and six airbags are all included in the highest-spec models. The updated model now comes standard with other new features including a seven-inch touchscreen, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear parking sensor, speed alert and front seat belt alert.

Ride and Handling

Ford has spun the wheels with a new top-spec Titanium Blue variation. It currently rides on 15-inch wheels as opposed to the 14-inch wheels in the lower Titanium variant and the pre-facelift model. The 15-inch tyres, which are the fattest on the market at 195/55, are largely responsible for the improved ride quality compared to the previous model. Additionally, this larger size helps it slide easily over rough terrain and rough roads, making the vehicle feel planted most of the time. Passage has not made any changes to the suspension system with this facelift. The Titanium Blue and other models lack the S’s rigid setup, which would have helped handling. For now, it is an aesthetic successor to the previous S variant. The suspension of the Figo is well suited to Indian conditions and offers a supple ride. Although these are not deal breakers, some people may experience these things.

Infotainment System

On the other hand, the four-cylinder, 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 215Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm and 99 bhp at 3,750 rpm. Both motor options get a five-speed manual transmission as standard. The refreshed Figo is available with double front airbags, ABS with EBD, front safety belt updates and back stopping sensor as standard across the range of variants. Side and curtain airbags, which are unique to the Figo in the segment, are included in the highest-spec Titanium Blue model. The petroleum program version only comes with ESP (electronic power program), TCS (foothold control framework) and HLA (slope sending assist) – these additional sections are a first.
