The back seat comfortably accommodates two adults; however, compared to the boxier X5 model, legroom and headroom are reduced by approximately two and three inches respectively. Similarly, cargo space behind the rear seats is smaller in the X6. In our testing, it could only fit nine carry-on suitcases whereas the X5 managed to hold eleven.

In comparison to the previous model, the BMW X6 now features a bigger kidney grille design that can be equipped with optional illumination. The latest version of the BMW X6 has increased in length (by 26mm), width (by 15mm), and wheelbase (by 42mm). However, the overall height has been reduced by 6mm. The distinct twin LED headlights are included as standard and extend all the way up to the traditional kidney grille. At the rear, the powerful shoulder lines are further emphasized by wide L-shaped LED rear lights. The Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
The BMW X6 introduces an enhanced driver-oriented cockpit. The latest version is equipped with temperature-regulated cup holders (that can be heated or cooled) and includes wireless charging as a standard feature, aiding the driver in maintaining their attention on the road. The leather Vernasca upholstery comes in six different color options as a standard offering. Additionally, the vehicle boasts a panoramic glass roof and front seats that are electrically controlled with a memory function.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The turbocharged inline-six xDrive40i is the most fuel-efficient model of the X6. According to the EPA, it is estimated to achieve 23 mpg in the city and at least 26 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, the M60i xDrive, powered by a twin-turbo V-8 engine, has a lower efficiency with ratings of 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.
The X6 M Competition, which has high horsepower, is the least fuel-efficient version with EPA ratings of 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
