Blue Energy BE 5528 Plus 4×2:- Renowned and acclaimed commercial vehicle manufacturer, Blue Energy Engines launched India’s first Liquefied Liquefied Gas (LNG) fuel truck – 5528 4×2 at its plant in Chakan, Pune, which was introduced recently. The brand announced that it intends to ship watertight and long-haul trucks fueled by LNG to upgrade hard core haulage in India. Iveco Gathering’s powertrain specialty unit.
The N67 motor conforms to Euro-6e outflow guidelines in Europe, and is BS-VI acceptable in India. BEM claims the LNG truck can reduce emissions by up to 30 percent compared to conventional diesel trucks. It adds that the FPT motor is also viable to run on CNG and bio-methane. The Blue Energy LNG-fuelled 5528 4×2 truck, the brand’s most memorable model, was flagged off by Mr. Anirudh Bhuwalka, Head of Blue Energy Engines, in the presence of Mr. Gerrit Marx, President of the IVECO Gathering. and Mr. Sylvain Blaise, leader.

The 5528 truck uses the FPT Modern Multipoint Stoichiometric Burning Motor to guarantee higher fuel utilization and lower noise than diesel motors. This motor produces a maximum power of 280 HP and a peak torque of 1000 Nm. The Blue Energy 5528 4×2 LNG truck is considered to be the company’s most memorable truck with a 1000-litre gas tank, giving a range of up to 1400 km for each fill-up.

He further added, “It has been planned to meet the business needs of the customers along with being an ecologically sound system. With almost zero tailpipe discharge, our truck reduces CO2 by up to 30% compared to the regular system available at Lookout. ”

The empty tank weighs approximately 498 kg, while fuel filled to its maximum capacity can add an additional 383 kg. Since LNG is stored in cryogenic conditions, the working temperature of the tank ranges from -196° to -50°. BEM claims that the 5528 truck can travel up to 1,400 kilometers on a single charge. The company also claims to have installed LNG refueling stations on major trucking routes in the country to help its customers undertake long distance trips without any range concerns.

Engine and Transmission
The BE 5528 truck is equipped with a FPT (Fiat Powertrain Innovation) modernized ‘N67’ LNG motor, mated to a 9-speed manual transmission. The motor is a 6.7-litre, 6-chamber in-line 24-valve combusted gas plant with MPI (Multi-Point Fuel Infusion) stoichiometric ignition innovation. Unlike regular diesel motors with pressure start, this unit is more like petroleum motors with flash attachment start and a more limited stroke plan.
Gas motors are considered to be more eco-friendly with lower NVH (compression vibration-cruelty) levels compared to regular diesel motors. It delivers a maximum power of 280 hp (206 kW) at 2,000 rpm and a peak torque of 1,000 Nm at 1,250 rpm. The truck comes with a fixed-count turbocharger with a waste inlet valve and a 3-way incentive smoke aftertreatment system.
Interior
The 4-point suspended and tiltable lodge of Blue Energy 5528 is noteworthy with respect to its contemporary plan and styling.
