The new Bajaj Pulsar 180 is powered by an air-cooled, single chamber, 178.6cc motor unit mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor produces 17 hp of maximum power at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 6500 rpm. The power figures made by the motor are 0.2 HP and 0.3 Nm which is a complete difference from the previous model. This bike can achieve a maximum speed of 122 kmph and has a ground clearance of 165 mm. Slow speed duties are handled by plate brakes at both ends and maintained by single channel ABS. Its weight is 10 kg instead of 145 kg of the previous model.

The 178.6 cc single-chamber engine, air-cooled and new Twin Flash Start DTS-i motor with BS-VI discharge standards, produces 16.36 bhp of peak power and peak torque at 850 rpm when mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
