Bajaj CT 150X Reviews On Road Price 2024 Mileage, Features, Engine, Performance, Design & Images

Bajaj CT 150X Reviews- In India, the anticipated price of the Bajaj CT 150X, a street bike, is ₹ 1.50 Lakh. Its launch is expected to take place in January 2024 and it will be competing with the Bajaj Pulsar N250, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and Honda CB 200X. Bajaj is currently conducting tests on various upcoming models and recently, leaked online photos revealed the CT 150X.

Just a day later, another test mule resembling a smaller version of the Pulsar P150 was spotted. A new Bajaj commuter motorcycle has been spotted during testing and upon closer inspection, it appears to be a potential addition to the company’s lineup of rugged workhorses – the CT 150X. Although most of the test mule is concealed by camouflage, certain distinctive features indicate that it belongs to the CT series.

Bajaj CT 150X Reviews 2024

There are indications that this new model will be positioned above the current Bajaj CT 150X. One significant factor is the more premium split-spoke design of its alloy wheels. Additionally, it lacks some of the utilitarian features present in the smaller 125 model, such as a rear luggage rack. It is possible that this could be a 150cc version of the rugged CT platform, potentially named the CT 150X.

This speculation is supported by the recent discontinuation of the Pulsar P150 by Bajaj, leaving room for a basic and durable commuter motorcycle in their lineup. The inclusion of a sump guard and braced handlebar, which are uncommon in this segment, further adds weight to the theory that this test mule provides an early glimpse into an upcoming CT model.

Features

Bajaj should definitely pay attention to and incorporate the concept bike version into the production-spec model as well. Let’s delve into the details of this concept version of the Bajaj CT 150X. To begin with, the overall design approach, featuring a large circular headlight and a tall, wide handlebar, bears a striking resemblance to the current CT 125X, which we test drove last year and were thoroughly impressed by. Additionally, there are several smaller elements worth noting. The inclusion of handguards is rather uncommon for commuter bikes, but it’s a feature that Bajaj has previously utilized on models like the Platina 110 ABS.

Engine

The Bajaj CT 150X is equipped with a 124.4cc engine that generates a power output of 10.9PS at 8000rpm and a torque of 11Nm at 5500rpm. Interestingly, this engine is the same as the one used in the Bajaj Discover 125. The design of the Bajaj CT resembles its smaller counterpart, the CT. It features an attractive headlight cowl which includes a ‘V’ shaped LED DRL and a small visor, which is quite unique for a budget-friendly commuter bike. To maintain affordability, Bajaj has opted for basic features on the CT such as a halogen headlight, an analogue instrument cluster, and a bulb-type taillight & turn indicators.

Gearbox

The Bajaj CT 150X, set to be launched in India, will come equipped with a 148.8cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine that is fuel injection BS6-compliant. With the introduction of FI technology, both the bike’s performance and mileage see an increase of 10%. Bajaj is soon going to release this bike in the Indian market. Previously, the bike featured a 4-speed gearbox but now, under the name H-Gear, it offers a 5-speed gearbox. However, it’s important to note that the Bajaj CT 150 model still comes with a 4-gear transmission instead of 5 gears.

Design

Typically, commuter bikes do not come equipped with design features like handguards. However, Bajaj has previously included them in their offerings. In addition to this, the bike also comes with a sump guard and a braced handlebar. This suggests that Bajaj may be aiming to set the CT150X apart from other commuter bikes through these design choices. Overall, it indicates that Bajaj may be considering a new CT model in order to strengthen its position in the fiercely competitive commuter segment.

Torque

Despite this, the handlebar of the Bajaj CT 150X does have a USB charger. However, the bike is not as impressive due to its weak 115cc single-cylinder engine, which produces a power output of 8.6 PS and a torque of 9.81 Nm. It is equipped with a 4-speed gearbox and manual transmission. Recently, abin_designs_511 shared an interesting concept of the Bajaj C150X on Instagram. This motorcycle could benefit from a more powerful 150cc engine, and it also boasts attractive design themes.

Powertrain

Bajaj is actively seeking to expand its presence in the 150cc market segment. Currently, the Indian motorcycle manufacturer only offers two models in this category – namely, the N150 and the Pulsar 150. The N150 serves as a replacement for the previous Pulsar P150, while the Pulsar 150 has been available for quite some time now. As a result, Bajaj may be considering introducing another 150cc bike to its lineup. The Bajaj CT 150X features a round halogen headlamp with LED DRLs, creating an off-road inspired aesthetic.

Brakes & Rear

The Bajaj CT 150X comes with additional features such as a headlight guard, rear luggage rack, and engine protection. The seat is designed with quilting and includes a large grab rail and luggage rack. For convenience, a USB charger has been included. It is equipped with the same 124.4cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine found in the Bajaj Discover 125. This engine delivers 10.9 PS at 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox using an all-down pattern, the engine utilizes an Intelligent Carburetor rather than a conventional fuel-injection system.

Transmission

The Bajaj CT 150X has recently made its debut in Russia at a price of 87,500 rubles (approximately INR 95,680). The new version of the Bajaj 150X for the Russian market comes with a 5-speed transmission, USB charger, and gear shift indicator. The older 4-speed model is still available for purchase. In terms of appearance, there are no noticeable changes to the Boxer 150X. This 150 cc commuter bike features a dual-purpose design with a simple circular headlamp, body-colored headlamp fairing with a tinted visor, high-mounted plastic front fender, classic fuel tank, long seat, dual-tone color scheme, black alloy wheels, and a luggage rack.

Conclusion

The Bajaj CT 150X is equipped with basic telescopic forks at the front and dual rear gas shocks. It has a drum brake for the rear wheel, and the front wheel offers the option of a disk or drum brake. The gear shift quality of the bike has been enhanced previously. Several new features have been added to the Bajaj CT 150 meter console, with the most significant one being an indicator that shows which gear needs to be shifted up or down. When you switch to 4th gear on this bike, it will be displayed on the bike’s meter, indicating that it is now in 4th gear.
