During our highway fuel economy route, we found that the Q8 performed exceptionally well, surpassing its EPA highway rating by returning an impressive 28 mpg over a distance of 200 miles. Infotainment & Connectivity
Every Q8 is equipped with an advanced infotainment system that includes a pair of vibrant touchscreens integrated into the dashboard and center console. Unlike other Audi models, these touchscreens provide haptic feedback in response to touch inputs instead of using a rotary controller. The logical menus and large icons were easy for us to navigate, although there were some unavoidable distractions.
However, we appreciated the option to use voice commands or the convenient steering-wheel controls as an alternative. Standard features of the system include a Wi-Fi hotspot as well as support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also the option to add wireless charging and choose between two different Bang & Olufsen audio systems. One feature that stood out to us was the standard digital gauge cluster, known as Virtual Cockpit, which offers configurable settings and excellent navigation capabilities.
